2017 Club Captain's Charity

Date Posted 14th March 2018 by RG/CR   |   Posted in General

On 28th February our 2017 Captain Clive Reynolds presented a cheque for £6500 to Ceris Bradley of Macmillan Cancer Support. This was half of the funds raised during his year of captaincy; the remaining £6500 was to be presented to Willow founders, Bob & Meg Wilson, in Welwyn Garden City two days later, but the weather intervened, another date is to be arranged.
Clive thanks all members for their support during the year.

Ladies & Seniors Captain's Charities 2017

Date Posted 6th March 2018 by RG   |   Posted in General

Denise and George Eland had a great time in their year as Lady and Senior Captain at Chipping Sodbury Golf Club.

The charity they chose to support was Brandon Trust, which is a local Charity that supports people of all ages with learning disabilities and autism to live as normal a life as possible.

George commented, "It was our absolute pleasure that gave us enormous satisfaction in being able to help in some small way. On behalf of the Ladies Section (who raised £4000) and the Seniors Section (raising £2500) we managed to raise a total of £6500."

A big thank you to members of both sections for their generosity.
